ABC Renews 'Scandal', 'Grey's Anatomy' and "How To Get Away With Murder'
Shonda Rhimes' domination of Thursday nights on ABC will continue for network.
When the television series The X-Files ended its run on Fox in May of 2002, many fans were left wondering would the series ever come back. Yes, they did eventually get two films, but many fans wanted their X-Files fix on a weekly basis.
It seems like the character of Harrison Wright on the hit ABC series Scandal will live on. According to Deadline, actor Eric West has closed a deal to continue the character of Harrison Wright on the series. In the season 3 finale of Scandal, Harrison had a gun pointed at him by B613 and we were left wondering was he shot or not.
“We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Eric,” ABC said in a statement.
It's a sad day for all the Gladiators out there!
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Columbus Short, who played Harrison Wright on the popular series, will not be returning for Season 4.
Columbus released a statement through his publicist:
“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank [creator] Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”
