Showtime Sets Premiere Dates For 'Masters Of Sex' & 'Ray Donovan'

SHOWTIME has set the summer premieres for two of its critically-acclaimed and award-winning dramas – RAY DONOVAN and MASTERS OF SEX. Both series will premiere on Sunday, July 12th at 9 p.m. ET/PT and 10 p.m. ET/PT, respectively, and each will have 12 one-hour episode seasons. RAY DONOVAN stands as the network’s highest-rated freshman series ever and averaged 5.3 million weekly viewers in its sophomore year, and earned two Golden Globe win and multiple Emmy nominations. MASTERS OF SEX, which averaged 3.4 million weekly viewers in its second season, was honored with five Emmy Award nominations and was named one of AFI’s Top Ten Television Programs of the Year.

Showtime Orders 12 Episode Series 'Billions' With Damien Lewis, Paul Giamatti

SHOWTIME has picked up the drama BILLIONS to series for 12 one-hour episodes, it was announced today by David Nevins, President of Showtime Networks Inc. Starring Oscar nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe® winner Paul Giamatti and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis, the series is a complex and contemporary drama about power politics in the New York world of high finance. BILLIONS is written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean's Thirteen, Rounders), and Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big To Fail). Beginning production later this year, the series will shoot in New York and is slated for a 2016 premiere.

Today, Showtime Networks Inc. announced that Craig Platt has joined the network as its new Senior Vice President, Creative Advertising, and that Emily Gould has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing. Platt will be responsible for establishing the conceptual and stylistic direction and creative output for the networks’ print and broadcast marketing, advertising and affiliate campaigns, and managing the network’s team of creative directors, writers, producers, designers and copywriters. In her new role, Emily Gould will oversee the network’s consumer marketing strategy, and spearhead the strategic development and execution of all consumer marketing initiatives, while managing the SHOWTIME Program Marketing, Marketing Services and Advertising teams. She will also collaborate with SHOWTIME Sports® on consumer marketing tactics, and will oversee the marketing and promotion of acquired theatricals and documentaries. Today was a big day for the Showtime network as they gave their presentation at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour.

First, David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. announced that Shameless has been renewed for a 12 episode sixth season with production due to begin later this year. The hit series is Showtime's highest rated comedy and just kicked off its fifth season this past Sunday.
