'Homeland' Season 4 To Film In South Africa

SHOWTIME and Fox 21 announced today that the Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winning drama series HOMELAND will begin production in Cape Town, South Africa. Season four will find Carrie Mathison (Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes) assigned to one of the most volatile and dangerous CIA stations in the Middle East where she is back on the front lines in the war on terror. The series will begin production in mid-June and shoot through November of this year. The network's No. 1 rated series with an average of seven million weekly viewers, HOMELAND's fourth season will premiere this fall on SHOWTIME.

Showtime Renews 'Nurse Jackie' For Seventh Season

In advance of its sixth season premiere, today SHOWTIME announced that it has picked up a seventh season of its signature comedy series NURSE JACKIE. The announcement was made by David Nevins, President, Showtime Networks Inc. NURSE JACKIE stars Edie Falco in her Emmy® Award-winning and Golden Globe® and SAG-nominated role, and returns for a sixth season on Sunday, April 13 at 9 p.m. The seventh season of the series, which is a co-production of SHOWTIME and Lionsgate, will begin filming in New York later this year.

Showtime Announces Return Dates For 'Ray Donovan' & 'Masters Of Sex'

Both series return with 12 one-hour episodes. RAY DONOVAN, which stands as the network’s highest-rated freshman series ever, stars Liev Schreiber in his Golden Globe®-nominated role as the title character, alongside Golden Globe winner Jon Voight as his father. The critically-hailed drama MASTERS OF SEX, named as one of AFI’s Top Ten Television Programs of the Year, stars Golden Globe nominee Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.

Nazanin Boniadi Promoted To Series Regular On Showtime's 'Homeland'

SHOWTIME and Fox 21 announced today that acclaimed actress Nazanin Boniadi, who guest-starred in season three of the Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winning drama HOMELAND, will return as a series regular for season four. Boniadi plays Fara Sherazi, the strong-willed Muslim CIA analyst who Saul (Emmy and Tony® Award winner Mandy Patinkin) recruited for her expertise in international banking. Like Carrie (Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award winner Claire Danes), Fara shares a passion for justice and ends up enlisting her relatives in Tehran to help Carrie’s secret mission in the final episodes of season three. Season four finds Fara in a key role working for Carrie at the CIA. The network’s No. 1 rated series with seven million weekly viewers, HOMELAND begins production on season four this summer and will premiere in the fall on SHOWTIME.

Showtime Picks Up New Drama 'Billions'

SHOWTIME has ordered BILLIONS, a new complex, contemporary drama pilot from a script by Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big To Fail), and Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean's Thirteen, Rounders), who will also executive produce. BILLIONS is a fictional drama that focuses on the collision and, at times, collusion between an aggressive U.S. attorney in New York and some of the richest hedge fund billionaires in the country. BILLIONS marks the first pilot pick-up for SHOWTIME this year.
