Every once in a while, a character will appear on a series and become and instant fan favorite. One such character is Elsbeth Tascioni.
Vanessa Williams will join the critically acclaimed drama The Good Wife in a recurring role this November.
Williams will play Courtney Boalt, an extremely successful, self-made businesswoman who is potentially interested in backing Peter Florrick’s (Chris Noth) campaign for President. In the process, she meets Eli Gold (Alan Cumming), sparking a mutual attraction.
It's been a fantastic year so far for Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He is currently starring opposite Halle Berry in the second season of the CBS series Extant. He's also starred in the History miniseries Texas Rising and the Starz series Magic City.
Seems like Taye Diggs will be putting down his guns and taking a break from chasing the bad guys. E! News is reporting that the current star of the hit TNT series Murder in the First has booked a multiple episode arc on The Good Wife.
"We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show," Robert and Michelle King, executive producers and showrunners of The Good Wife, said in a statement. "We've been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease."
Diggs will play Dean Levine-Wilkins, a meticulous and talented equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner who decides to throw in his lot with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and accompany her to Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Cary’s (Matt Czuchry) company, Florrick/Agos.
The Good Wife returns on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. on CBS for its season six premiere.
