USA Network Renews 'Satisfaction', Cancels 'Rush'

satisfaction-usa-tv-show

USA Network today announced a 10-episode second season order for the sexy one-hour hit original drama series SATISFACTION, a postmodern love story centered around a married couple, Neil Truman (Matt Passmore, “The Glades”) and his wife, Grace (Stephanie Szostak, “The Devil Wears Prada”) and the unconventional choices they make to keep their relationship intact.

The news isn't all roses. According to Deadline, the network has decided to cancel freshman drama Rush. Although both shows got off to slow starts, one of the reasons Satisfaction was given a season two renewal over Rush is because of its L7 numbers.

“SATISFACTION sparked a cultural conversation about modern love and marriage in today’s world,” said USA Network President Chris McCumber. “We’re excited to see where Sean Jablonski takes this thought-provoking series in season two.”

“Sean Jablonski and Russ Krasnoff, Matt Passmore, Stephanie Szostak and the rest of our world-class creative team on SATISFACTION have led us on a fascinating storytelling journey that our studio is excited to continue bringing to life,” said Jeff Wachtel, President and Chief Content Officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “USA is a fantastic partner in creating programming that we believe will stand the test of time.”

Suits - Season 4

USA Network announced today a 16-episode fifth season renewal of the hit original drama SUITS. Currently airing its fourth season, SUITS continues to be a top 10 summer scripted series in P18-49 (1.6 million), P25-54 (1.7 million), and total viewers, averaging nearly 4 million. The midseason finale is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 at 9/8c.

“SUITS continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex characters that viewers can’t get enough of,” said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. “With some of the best writing on television, and a brilliant ensemble cast, we anticipate a spectacular fifth season for a series that has become a marquee property for USA.”

This season saw a major shift at the firm that left Harvey at odds with his brilliant, but not-technically-legal associate Mike Ross (SAG Award nominee Patrick J. Adams, “Rosemary’s Baby”) who left to head to Wall Street as an investment banker. As the series builds to its summer finale, Mike has returned to Pearson Specter to resume his place beside Harvey, but Louis’ (Rick Hoffman, "Samantha Who”) secret threatens to unravel the firm. The series also stars Gina Torres ("Firefly”), Sarah Rafferty (“Brothers & Sisters”) and Meghan Markle ("Fringe").
