Steve Carrell To Appear On 'The Office' Finale

steveDespite constant reporting that Steve Carrrell was not going to be in The Office finale, word has come down that he will actually make a cameo appearance in the finale. According to TVFanatic,  as early as last week series creator Greg Daniels shot down rumors of Steve appearing in the finale. They both agreed. Steve was concerned that his coming back would overshadow the finale episode and the ending the characters deserved so his part again will only be a cameo.

FX Sets Premiere Date For Season 3 Of 'Wilfred'

WilfredToday FX announced that the third season of its original comedy series Wilfred will premiere on Thursday, June 20. Viewers will be treated to two new episodes airing back-to-back at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM ET/PT for the first two weeks of the season, followed by a July 4 hiatus. Beginning July 11, Wilfred will resume airing single episodes each Thursday at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

Starring Elijah Wood and Jason Gann, the series revolves around a young man, "Ryan" (Wood), who is struggling unsuccessfully to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with "Wilfred" (Gann), his neighbor’s pet dog. Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit. Series regulars also include Fiona Gubelmann as “Jenna,” Ryan’s beautiful neighbor and Wilfred’s owner, and Dorian Brown as “Kristen,” Ryan’s uptight sister. Guest stars Chris Klein, Mary Steenburgen and Dwight Yoakam reprise their roles this season, along with a new line-up of talent which includes Gina Gershon, Angela Kinsey, Jenny Mollen and Lance Reddick.

Wilfred is based on the critically acclaimed Australian series of the same title and was originally adapted for FX by David Zuckerman (Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill). Zuckerman also serves as an executive producer along with Reed Agnew, Eli Jorné, Jason Gann, Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz of Prospect Park, Randall Einhorn, and Joe Connor and Ken Connor of Renegade, producers of the Australian version of the series. Einhorn also serves as director. Wilfred is produced by FX Productions. The Australian version of Wilfred was written by Jason Gann and Adam Zwar, directed by Tony Rogers and produced by Jen Livingston.

AMC Orders 'Line Of Sight' Pilot

amc_new_logo AMC announced today a pilot order for the scripted drama “Line of Sight.” The project is from writer, creator and executive producer Blake Masters (“Brotherhood,” “Rubicon,” 2 Guns) and is a co-production of Fox Television Studios (FTVS) and AMC Studios. “Line of Sight” is the story of Lewis Bernt, a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident’s cause. Production is scheduled for later this year. The pilot marks the network’s first exploration of science fiction in an original series. "Blake Masters has created a world and set of characters that defies the traditional boundaries of drama and sci-fi. It's got great elements of both genres while also having that unique blend of a conspiracy thriller. It is genuinely unexpected and unconventional,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s EVP of original programming, production and digital content. “It is also great to be working with our incredible partners at FTVS again." “Line of Sight” is the genre-bending odyssey of one man, who, after surviving a plane crash dives head first down the rabbit hole on an emotionally disorienting search to find out what has happened to him. He becomes a man whose entire sense of self, his own life and the world as he knows it, completely unravels in a whirlwind of obsession and paranoia.
