USA Network Sets March Premiere Date For 'Dig'; Orders Four Additional Episodes

USA Network has ordered four additional episodes of the highly anticipated event series DIG, bringing the series to a total of 10 episodes. Additionally, the network announced that the thriller will premiere on Thursday, March 5. DIG is executive produced by powerhouse auspices Tim Kring ("Heroes") and Gideon Raff ("Homeland"), and comes from Universal Cable Productions. The pilot was shot in Israel, and subsequent episodes are being shot in Croatia and New Mexico.

“We knew when we saw the exceptional pilot and immersed ourselves into the incredible world of intrigue that Tim and Gideon have created with DIG that we wanted more,” said McCumber. “With its multi-layered story, international locations, cinematic production and immensely talented cast -- DIG promises to be a must-watch event series.”

USA Network Premieres 'Dig' Trailer At San Diego Comic-Con

USA Network introduced fans to the upcoming original action adventure event series, DIG from powerhouse auspices Tim Kring ("Heroes") and Gideon Raff ("Homeland"), at San Diego’s Comic-Con® today, with a dynamic panel discussion and trailer premiere.

The panel featured series’ creators and executive producers Kring and Raff, pilot director SJ Clarkson, writer Carol Barbee and stars Golden Globe nominee Jason Isaacs ("Harry Potter") via Skype, David Costabile (“Breaking Bad”) and Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy). New York Times bestselling author and series consultant, Reza Aslan, moderated. Additionally, attendees in the Indigo Ballroom were treated to a sneak peek of DIG and given a glance at some of the behind-the-scenes action filmed on location in Israel.

DIG stars Isaacs as Peter Connelly, an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem, who, while investigating a murder uncovers a conspiracy 2,000 years in-the-making.

Anne Heche Joins USA Network's Event Series 'Dig'

Emmy Award-winning television and film actress Anne Heche (“Save Me”) has been tapped as a series regular on USA Network’s six episode event series DIG, an action adventure drama from co-creators and executive producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and Gideon Raff (“Homeland”). She joins previously announced star Jason Isaacs ("Awake"). DIG, from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and developed by Keshet, in association with executive producers Gail Berman and Gene Stein of Tecumseh Productions, will shoot in Jerusalem as well as other international locations. The event series will premiere on USA Network in late 2014.

Heche will play Lynn, the head of the Jerusalem FBI office and Peter’s (Isaacs) boss. She is also his only friend and occasional lover. Despite her sense of humor and soft side, Lynn is tough and isn’t afraid to take her team—including Peter—to task when they slip up.
