Shawn Ryan (The Shield, The Chicago Code) and Eddie Murphy(Dreamgirls, Trading Places) are currently shopping around the idea for a small screen version of the successful movie franchise as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Eddie Murphy shot to super stardom playing the wise cracking Detroit cop Axel Foley in 3 films for Paramount Pictures. If the series becomes a reality, Murphy would be an executive producer along with Ryan and appear in several of the episodes in the first season.
