The news today was not good for fans of the series Chasing Life.
ABC Family has announced that it will not be bringing the beloved drama back for a third season.
The recent season two finale will now serve as the series finale.
The series debuted in 2014 and was immediately praised by the critics and instantly became a fan favorite. Although the brass at the network were fans of the series, the ratings had dropped by almost 50 percent in the second season leading to its demise.
Chasing Life followed April, an inspiring journalist who is trying to work her way up the ladder at a Boston newspaper. Just as things in her professional and personal life start taking a turn for the better, she gets the news that she has leukemia.
