Looks like its been a busy couple of days for Hunted show creator  Frank Spotnitz. Just a couple of days ago, it was reported by several news outlets that BBC One decided to cancel the freshman series after a steady decline in the show’s ratings. It started off with a very strong 4.5 million viewers, but a steady decrease in its audience led to the decision.

There was alot of uncertainty as to what would happen to the show since it was a joint venture between BBC One and Cinemax. Then today as reported over at Deadline.com  Cinemax is looking at a new incarnation of the spy thriller to air on its network. The network is working with Frank Spotnitz and Melissa George to continue the series. Kary Antholis, President, HBO Miniseries and Cinemax Programming said recently,  “We are making plans with creator and executive producer Frank Spotnitz and star Melissa George to present a new chapter in the Sam Hunter mythology and we are very pleased with what Hunted has done for Cinemax’s brand and are very excited about what lies ahead.”

Stay tuned to Pop Culture Principle for any new updates on the series.
