What seemed like a forgone conclusion, Netflix made an announcement about its breakout series 13 Reasons Why.

The streaming service has renewed its controversial series 13 Reasons Why for a second season.

The series will return in 2018 with 13 hour long episodes and Season one show runner Brian Yorkey staying on for the season.

The second season of the series will pickup with the aftermath of Hannah Baker’s death and how each individual deals with their healing.

The series, which is based on the book by Jay Asher, 13 Reasons Why, follows teen Hannah Baker. The junior commits suicide, but leaves behind thirteen tapes explaining her reasons why she killed herself.
