It seems that Netflix is happy with the response its freshman series Sense8 has received from its many adoring fans.
The series, which was created, written and executive-produced by Andy and Lana Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski, has been renewed for a second season.
Instead of the usual press release announcing the renewal, Netflix decided to be a little creative and let the cast tell the fans in a video the streaming service posted on its Twitter account.
Birthdays are just the beginning. #sense8 is reborn.

Sense8 revolves around eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked. The show aims to explore subjects that its writers feel science fiction shows, at least ostensibly, tend to ignore or skim through such as politics, identity, sexuality, gender and religion.
