Despite constant reporting that Steve Carrrell was not going to be in The Office finale, word has come down that he will actually make a cameo appearance in the finale.
According to TVFanatic, as early as last week series creator Greg Daniels shot down rumors of Steve appearing in the finale. They both agreed. Steve was concerned that his coming back would overshadow the finale episode and the ending the characters deserved so his part again will only be a cameo.
