The fourth season of Fringe has been solid on a creative level, but as far as the ratings go, the show has experienced some of its lowest ratings ever. Being put on a Friday night at 9pm on FOX is part of the reason for the steady decline in viewership. That’s why once again, the show finds itself on the brink of cancellation. Not only is the bad time slot hurting Fringe, but the cost to keep the show on the air is another issue and FOX is losing money. Creator JJ Abrams is hopeful that Fringe will be back for a 5th season. For more information about this, head over to TVLine and read their article about the status of the show.
