ABC Family is definitely beginning to make its presence felt with its original programming. In the past several months, the network has picked up the supernatural drama Beyond and the comedy Gorgeous Morons. Well, you can add another series to its original programming.

The network announced today that it has greenlit the pilot for the drama Stay that will be directed by Jon Turteltaub from a script by Spenser Cohen. Both Cohen and Turteltaub will executive produce along with Anna Halberg.

Stay centers on a recently widowed police detective and his two daughters who are stranded at a foreboding hotel and must unravel the hotel’s mysteries to escape.

“Stay is an emotionally-powerful story about a fractured family, who comes back together under the most unexpected of circumstances,” said Karey Burke, EVP, Programming and Development, ABC Family.
