Alexander Siddig will star as Aristotle Onassis in The Kennedys-After Camelot, the follow up to the award-winning 8–hour miniseries The Kennedys.

The original 4-hr. miniseries begins production this May and will air on the Reelz network in the spring of 2017.

Along with Siddig, the miniseries will star Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Matthew Perry as Ted Kennedy

Siddig may be best known for his long-running role as Dr. Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and his current role as Prince Doran Martell in Game of Thrones.

“Aristotle Onassis was not only one of the world’s richest men known for his flair and business success, he also had a vibrant personality, which is why Jackie Kennedy fell in love with him and married him in 1968. We are privileged to have an actor of Alexander Siddig’s stature take on the role of such a fascinating figure as Onassis,” said Executive Producer Michael Prupas, president of Muse Entertainment. “He will captivate audiences around the world as he brings this famous European to life.”

“The cast we are assembling for this miniseries is an exceptional one,” said Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of REELZ. “Alexander has been associated with two of the most popular series in recent years and his outstanding talent is well recognized both domestically and internationally. He is ideally suited to play the role of Aristotle Onassis.”

The Kennedys-After Camelot is based on the New York Times best seller, After Camelot: Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present by best-selling author and biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli.
