It’s been a while since we’ve had a Chris Carter series on television. The man behind pop culture phenomenon The X-files, along with the underappreciated Millennium, Carter has been somewhat absent from the television landscape recently.
That may be about to change with the news that Deadline is reporting. Amazon Studios has given a pilot order for the Chris Carter penned The After. Carter wrote and will direct the thriller, which takes place at the moment of the apocalypse.
