ASCENSION-HELFER

It must be hard for fans who are stuck in limbo when it comes to finding out if a show they love will be renewed or cancelled.

Last year, the Syfy channel premiered its miniseries Ascension to lukewarm reviews by critics and not so great ratings. Although the miniseries was not a massive hit, it did gain a loyal group of fans.

Although not officially confirmed by Syfy yet, actor Gil Bellows, who played Harris Enzmann, sent out a message to his Twitter followers that Ascension will not be picked up to series Syfy.

Ascension starred Tricia Helfer, Andrea Roth, Brian Van Holt and Gil Bellows. The series followed a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world.

We reached out to Syfy and have not heard back yet. We will keep you posted on any developments.
