Well, the band is breaking up for good. Thank you FX…goodnight!
Deadline is reporting that FX has decided to cancel its series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll after only two seasons.
The Season 2 finale of the comedy aired on September 1 and that will now serve as the series finale.
Although an FX rep has yet to confirm it, Deadline is also reporting that the cast and crew of the series were notified earlier today about the network’s decision not to bring the series back for a third season.
The series, which Denis Leary created and starred in, also starred John Corbett, Robert Kelly, John Ales, and Elaine Hendrix.
This was Leary’s second project with FX. His first, Rescue Me was a critically acclaimed series and garnered Leary two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Rescue Me ran for 93 episodes over seven seasons.
