Fans of Sarah Jessica Parker can finally look forward to her being back on the small screen. HBO has announced that it has picked up the comedy pilot Divorce to series.
As reported by Deadline, the single-camera comedy was written by actress-writer Sharon Horgan. Horgan will produce the series along with Paul Simms and Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment.
Divorce tells the story of a very, very lHBO blue logoong divorce. It centers on Frances (Parker), a woman who suddenly begins to reassess her life and her marriage, and finds that making a clean break and a fresh start is harder than she thought. Also included in the cast will be Molly Shannon, Thomas Haden Church and Talia Balsam.
This will be Parker’s first regular series role since her successful run on the hugely popular HBO series Sex & the City which ran from 1998 to 2004.
