Many things have to come together when creating a television series or a feature film. One of the most important jobs is that of an editor. What does an editor in film and television do you ask? Well, in short an editor assembles raw footage into a final product that tells a story in a way that best reflects the director’s vision.

One of the best and brightest in the field today is the wonderfully talented Stephanie Filo, ACE. Her work on series such as A Black Lady Sketch Show, Monsters, with Ryan Murphy, History of the World Part II and other documentaries and features, has led to four Emmy wins, a Peabody and other nominations and awards.

We were lucky to sit down with Stephanie Filo to talk about how she broke into the business as an editor, the challenges she has faced in her career so far, advices she has for anyone interested in becoming an editor and any upcoming projects she can discuss.
