With the recent successful revival of the Chris Carter series The X-files, fans and critics alike started to ask about the possibility of reviving another Carter series-Millennium.

Starring veteran actor Lance Henriksen, Millennium aired on the FOX network from 1996–1999. The series followed ex-FBI profiler Frank Black (Henriksen) who is now a consultant working with the mysterious Millennium Group. Black has the ability to see inside the minds of serial killers.

While the series never reached the success of The X-files, it did prove to be a favorite with critics and won the People’s Choice Award for Best New Drama and Henriksen himself received three Golden Globe nominations for his portrayal of Frank Black.

Although there is no word from FOX if there is any interest in reviving Millennium at this time, we are hearing that a fan campaign called Back to Frank Black in conjunction with Digital Shadow Films are working on a project about the series. Details are scarce, but we understand the title of the project is Millennium After the Millennium and it is currently in post-production with a tentative Fall 2016 release.

We will continue to follow this story and keep you informed of all the latest details.
