Well, it looks like NBC is Taken with the 2008 surprise hit film.
First reported by Deadline, the network has given a straight to series order for the project that is based on the film that made Liam Neeson an action star.
Not only did it make Liam a bankable star, the film also spawned two sequels.
In the original film, Neeson plays Bryan Mills, a former CIA operative whose daughter is kidnapped by human traffickers while on a trip in France and we watch as he hunts them down.
According to Deadline, the series will follow a young Bryan as he acquires the very skills he uses to save his future daughter.
Luc Besson, who co-wrote the script for Taken, will executive produce the series. No showrunner or writer has been announced at this time.
