The CW today definitely showed a big vote of confidence for two of its series.

The network announced that it had ordered five additional scripts for its series iZombie and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The interesting thing to note is that both series have yet to premiere.

The 13-episode second season of iZombie kicks off on October 6th while the premiere of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will take place on October 12th.

A hit and fan favorite right out of the gate, iZombie follows Liv, who is turned into a zombie during a boat party. In order to cope with her new situation and appetite for brains, she takes a job at the King County morgue. When she eats the brains of murder victims from the morgue, she temporarily takes on their personality traits and experiences flashbacks that give clues to the victim’s murder.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend follows Rebecca, a woman who was dumped by her then boyfriend Josh while they were in high school. Ten years later she spots him in New York only to find out that he is moving across the country to West Covina, California. She decides to give up a job at a choice law firm and move to West Covina to try and get closer to Josh.

Both Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie aren’t the only series recently to get additional script orders. NBC also handed out an additional nine script order for its breakout series Blindspot starring Jaimie Alexander.
