What seemed to be a no brainer, NBO announced today that it was renewing its hit series True Blood for a sixth season. The series has been a consistent hit for HBO and continues to do well in the ratings.
What is a bit of a surprise is the early renewal of the freshman series The Newsroom. The show was being hyped as the big return to television for West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin and there was a bunch of buzz around the series. Although it premiered with 2.1 million viewers, it was met with mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. The jury is still out for The Newsroom and we are only 2 episodes in to the first season.
