SPOILER ALERT: Some information about Quinn’s character is shared below!
Homeland fans were left with one hell of a cliffhanger at the end of season five. Is Quinn alive or is he dead?
Speaking at the TCA, Showtime’s David Nevins announced that season six of the hit series, “Will be set domestically, primarily in the New York area.”
Adding to the conversation, Gary Levine said, “We are in awe how (showrunner) Alex Gansa and his writers reinvent Homeland every season. It’s exciting to see how they bring it back to the U.S. and reinvent it again.”
As stated earlier, Peter Quinn’s fate was left up in the air at the end of season five. Although Levine did not give a straight forward answer to Quinn’s fate, he did say the character may be back. “Quinn is very damaged, no question about that,” Levine said. “If he should live, he won’t be in the shape and form he was.”
Homeland is coming off a very strong fifth season and that leads to the obvious questions, how long can the series continue? Levine did say he and Gansa have approached the topic occasionally, but “He (Gansa) attacks his seasons one by one, so I don’t have definite answers. Needless to say it’s within their control.” Added Levine, “It’s not imminent.”
