The CBS freshman series Supergirl not only will get a second lease on life, but also finds a new home.

It was announced today that Supergirl will be renewed for a second season and will move from CBS to the CW.

The series started off huge for CBS by debuting to 13.1 million viewers and scoring a 3.1 in the 18-49 demo. Those numbers tied NBC’s breakout hit Blindspot as the season’s top-rated drama launch.

During its first season run, Supergirl averaged 7.1 million viewers per episode and a 1.7 demo.

Also, as reported by TVLine, the series production will now move from Los Angeles to Vancouver.
