Today is not a good day for fans of the series Dominion.
The network announced today that it would not be bringing back the supernatural drama for a third season. This news comes after the series just recently wrapped its second season.
Created by Vaun Wilmott and starring Christopher Eagan, Dominion is set 25 years in the future and shows the aftermath of a war between an army of angels and mankind.
“Led by Vaun Wilmott, the talented cast, producers, writers and crew of Dominion have done a tremendous job bringing this ambitious, cinematic series to the screen over the past two seasons,” Syfy said in a statement. “We thank them, as well as our producing partners Universal Cable Productions, Bold Films and Film Afrika.”
Dominion suffered a drop in the ratings during its second season. It was averaging a 0.3 in the 18-49 demo and 0.9 million viewers in live + same day numbers, both were significantly down from Season 1.
