With The Walking Dead setting ratings records with its recently aired mid-season finale, things are looking great for the durable series. Now comes news that the companion series is still moving full steam ahead.
According to Deadline, the series has added actors Frank Dillane & Alycia Debnam to the highly anticipated pilot. The pilot was created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson and will be directed by Adam Davidson.
According to the site, the pilot, known as Cobalt, takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on The Walking Dead but in a different location. It revolves around a male divorced teacher and a female guidance counselor.
Not only was The Walking Dead in the news for its record ratings, but also for upsetting fans when a major spoiler was revealed from the mid-season finale on the show’s official Facebook page before the West Coast and other viewers had a chance to see the episode. After the backlash, the following message was posted on their Facebook page:
We heard your feedback to last night’s post, and we’re sorry. With zero negative intent, we jumped the gun and put up a spoiler. Please know we’re going to work to ensure that, in the future, possible spoilers by official AMC social feeds are killed before they can infect, certainly before the West Coast (U.S.) broadcast of The Walking Dead. As always, thank you for watching, and keep the comments coming. We appreciate all of your support. #RIPSpoiler
