Let the network bloodbath continue! CBS has just announced the cancellation of three freshman series Stalker, Battle Creek and The McCarthys.
You have to feel bad for Kevin Williamson. Earlier, FOX cancelled his series The Following and now Stalker. Stalker suffered from low ratings and was eventually pulled from the schedule before being brought back on another night to finish out the remaining episodes. The series starred Dylan McDermott and Maggie Q and followed the detectives of the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit who investigate crimes that involve stalking.
Battle Creek starred Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters, and followed the mismatched partnership of a police detective and FBI agent in Battle Creek, Michigan. The series was from Gilligan and David Shore and was based on a script from Vince Gilligan.
Finally, the cancellation of The McCarthys comes as no surprise. The series had been pulled from the CBS schedule back in January, but the network never confirmed its official cancellation until now.
