Not all the news coming from the NBC camp is bad news. The network just announced that it will be renewing both The Night Shift and Undateable for third seasons.
The twist with Undateable is that all the episodes that will air in season three will be live. The show recently did a one hour live episode on both the east and west coast.
The live episodes resulted in a minor bump in the ratings, but seemed to peek the interest of the network. It’s not sure if the live season will be 13 episodes or 22 and if the airing on the west coast will be live as well.
The Night Shift returns as well after a decent outing in its second season. The series will have some competition from its own network after NBC announced it was picking up the medical dramas Chicago Med and Heartbreaker.
